Cynthia has 13 years of experience in the mental health field. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of San Francisco in 1983 and from Winona State University with a M.S. in Community Counseling in 2007. She has worked at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychology/Psychiatry providing individual, group, and family therapy, psycho-education, and diagnostic assessments in two intensive outpatient programs focused on depression, anxiety, and mood disorders, and co-facilitating an outpatient depression group for teens and their parents. She is trained in TF-CBT and EMDR and has provided therapeutic services to children and adults across the life span, with clients from six to 98 years old.

At Nexus-Gerard Family Healing, Cynthia works with the our Outpatient/ Community Mental Health services, supporting children, adolescents and adults with severe emotional and behavioral disorders. Her focus is working with clients with anxiety, anger, depression, trauma, and attachment issues.
