Matthew Talmadge is the Program Director of Outpatient Services at Nexus-Gerard Family Healing. He has 10 years of experience providing mental health services for adults, children, and families.

Education/Experience: Matthew graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Wheaton College (IL) in 2007, and from Bethel University in 2009 with an Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology.

Specialties: Matthew has experience working with non-verbal youth on the autism spectrum and youth with conduct disorder, reactive attachment disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, other mood disorders, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He has been trained in trauma-focused therapies, including TF-CBT as well as EMDR. He has worked providing therapy services in a center-based autism program, he’s provided group, individual, and family therapy in a residential treatment setting with children 7-18 years of age, and he’s provided outpatient individual and family therapy services for clients aged 2-50. His focus is working with clients with anxiety, anger, depression, trauma, developmental, and attachment issues.
