OUR TREATMENT SPECIALTIES
Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Counties served: Livingston, Iroquois, Ford, Grundy
For people who are struggling to recover from traumatic events and memories, we use evidence-based therapies that can relieve ongoing distress. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a process that uses narrative, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help people process through traumatic events.
Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP)
Counties served: Kankakee, Will, Livingston, Iroquois, Ford, Grundy
For families that are involved with, or at risk of involvement, with the child welfare system, we provide an evidence-based in-home intervention that can prevent child abuse and neglect. Parents learn about self-worth, personal empowerment, empathy, bonding and attachment. They also learn appropriate strategies for discipline and appropriate developmental expectations. NPP uses psychoeducational and cognitive-behavioral approaches to develop and strengthen parenting skills.
