Plymouth, Minn. – Nexus Family Healing announced it has acquired Steps of Success, a group home for girls ages 12-18, located in Andover, MN. Operations and staffing for the group home officially transitioned to Nexus Family Healing as of the new year.
“When the founders of the group home decided to retire after 40 years of helping teen girls in need, we knew we had to step in and continue this important work,” states Dr. Michelle K. Murray, CEO of Nexus Family Healing. “This decision represents an opportunity to extend our mission and lend our expertise in restoring hope and reshaping futures - for the girls, for their families and for our communities.”
The purchase of Steps of Success fits squarely into Nexus Family Healing’s strength in providing adolescents who have experienced trauma and are challenged with mental and behavioral health issues with the tools they need to move forward. The group home will fall under the Nexus-Mille Lacs Family Healing agency, one of eight agencies operated by Nexus Family Healing.
