Our mission

The mission of Nexus Family Healing is “Changing the course of a child’s life by stabilizing families and strengthening mental health.”

The Nexus Foundation for Family Healing advances this mission by securing philanthropic investments that wrap around and enhance the high quality, trauma-focused care provided by Nexus Family Healing.

Impact

The need for mental health services for children and their families continues to skyrocket. Funding and reimbursement for services falls far short of covering the actual cost of providing quality mental health services. Nexus Family Healing is committed to making services as accessible as possible to families who need them.

Philanthropic support helps provide access to care for children and families and allows us to be responsive and innovative in filling gaps in services that are desperately needed.

Your gifts impact children and families accessing services in community mental health, crisis and stabilization, foster care and adoption, and residential treatment.

Impact areas

Access to care

You ensure care is available and affordable in the moments and places it’s most needed: during times of crisis, as well as in schools and communities.

Welcoming, healing spaces

You provide youth and families with comfort and dedicated spaces, like sensory rooms, family spaces, and outdoor areas, that promote healing and help them move beyond trauma.

Clinical enhancements

You provide opportunities for deeper healing through enriching therapies and extras like art, music, and animal therapy.

Care team development

You stand by our caregivers and foster families giving them extra tools and support so they can go above and beyond for children and families.

Recreation, arts, wellness

You enrich the lives of youth in our care, providing ordinary experiences so many of us take for granted, including access to recreation, sporting events, cooking, gardening, and much more.

Education, vocation, and life skills

You show youth you’re by their sides teaching them skills they need to thrive, supporting them in living independently and helping them build healthier futures.
