Nexus Family Healing is certified to provide Children’s Intensive Behavioral Health Services (CIBHS), a specialized set of mental health services for children and youth who need a higher level of support. These services are covered by Minnesota Health Care Programs and are designed to help stabilize behaviors, build skills and support long-term well-being through structured, individualized care.

What sort of services are included?
Services may include:
- Individual therapy for youth and/or family
- Skills training to manage emotions and behaviors
- Crisis interventions to stabilize symptoms


Who is CIBHS for?
Youth up to age 21 who require intensive levels of intervention and are at risk for out-of-home placement. It’s available for youth in foster care or with legal guardians. Aimed at helping youth with significant mental health needs.
Where and when?
CIBHS services are flexible — they can happen in home, school, or other appropriate community setting. Services are designed to be delivered in three 2-hour sessions per week.
Who pays for CIBHS?
CIBHS is covered by Medical Assistance (MA) and PMAP Plans. Private insurance plans may vary on coverage. Please confirm eligibility with your insurance provider.
