Program snapshot
- Best suited for youth 8-17 with aggression/fighting, self-harm, depression, truancy, theft, and more.
- The goal of CIBS is to create stability so that the youth can safely stay remain in the home or return home after a short stay in residential care.
- CIBS is an intensive time-based therapy service where we focus on 1-3 major concerns that can be addressed in a 4–6-month timeframe.

What to expect
CIBS starts with a referral from your county caseworker or school-based mental health collaborative. CIBS is available in the following Minnesota counties: Scott, Dakota*, Carver, Hennepin, Goodhue, Steele, and the MN Prairie County Alliance (Waseca, Dodge, Steele).
During the assessment and through the process, a recommendation will be made collaboratively with the family about which path to take – in-home services only or a stay in residential treatment.

“Thank you for helping my child become the best version of himself.” – Parent

For professionals and referral partners
Your county’s mental health case manager initiates the referral with Nexus Family Healing. However, choosing CIBS is a decision made with the family. It requires a commitment to invest in your child and family and put in the time it takes to see improvement.

*In Dakota County the school-based mental health collaborative makes the referral instead of a county case manager.

Helping Teens Build a Healthier Relationship with Social Media
Social media is a primary source of connection for many, but it’s crucial—especially for youth—to balance online interaction with real-life socialization.
