Treatment specialties
Individual therapy
We provide individual outpatient therapy to children, youth, and adults in person for the communities of Austin and Mendota Heights, MN, or across Minnesota by telehealth. We provide specialized therapeutic services for children as young as two at our Mendota Heights office, and as young as six at our Austin office.
Family and couple therapy
We provide therapy for family groups—usually children together with their parents or caregivers—in addition to therapy for couples. A healthy family system depends on positive communication skills and emotional regulation. We help families build a foundation where each member feels supported, valued, heard, and loved. This is a critical first step to emotional growth and stability. From there, we help them build healthier relationships and a stronger family unit that can improve their current life and generations to come.
Trauma-focused therapies (TF-CBT & EMDR)
For patients who are struggling to recover from traumatic events and memories, we use evidence-based therapies that can relieve ongoing distress. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) uses narrative, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help people process through traumatic events. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is another form of psychotherapy that helps people process traumatic memories that are negatively impacting their mental health and their ability to be present. EDMR is currently only offered through our Mendota Heights office.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) is a unique, evidence-based psychotherapy that helps individuals replace negative mental images with positive ones—often in just a single session—making it a powerful tool for treating trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, eating disorders, and more. ART is known for its rapid and lasting results. This therapy is available at our Austin, MN, location.
