New 12-Bed Facility Expands Access to Trauma-Informed Mental Health Care for Oregon Youth
Eugene, OR – (September 15, 2026) – Nexus Family Healing has expanded its services in Eugene, Oregon, with the opening of a new 12-bed Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. Developed in partnership with the Oregon Health Authority Behavioral Health Division, the facility will serve youth ages 10-17 who may be involved in the justice system and/or be experiencing emotional or mental health challenges.
This new program reflects a shared commitment to strengthening behavioral services for some of Oregon’s most vulnerable youth. Through innovative, customized, and evidence-based practices, Nexus Family Healing will provide comprehensive mental health treatment in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Under the leadership of Executive Director Toni Miller, the facility is designed to deliver individualized, trauma-informed care that promotes safety, stability, and meaningful progress. Youth participating in the program will receive the tools and coping skills needed to successfully transition back to their families and communities.
Nexus President/CEO Dr. Michelle Murray stated, “Programs like this are critical for youth who are navigating uncertain times alongside emotional and behavioral health difficulties. At Nexus, we believe every youth deserves a chance to heal and restore hope for their future, and we’re honored to continue this partnership with the state and expand this mission in Oregon.”
Nexus Family Healing is committed to ensuring that youth and families have access to compassionate, high-quality care when they need it most. This facility represents an important step in strengthening Oregon’s continuum of care and supporting youth as they work toward healing and long-term success.
By partnering with local and state organizations, Nexus continues to expand access to critical resources and support systems for youth and families across the region.
